Emily Summers joined Kempster, Corcoran, Quiceno & Lenz-Calvo in 2017 where she practices immigration and nationality law with a focus on employment-based and family-based cases. Ms. Summers has experience working with non-immigrant visas, including H-1B, TN, and L-1.

Previously, Ms. Summers clerked at the Chicago Immigration Court where she drafted asylum, cancellation of removal, and withholding of removal decisions. She also held a position at the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation project where she assisted asylum seekers detained at the Port Isabel Immigration Detention Center with applications for relief from removal. As a Clinical Law Student at the University of Iowa College of Law’s legal clinic, Ms. Summers worked with young people seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and handled family law matters including adoption and guardianship petitions.
