Ruth Abarca Compton joined Kempster, Corcoran, Quiceno & Lenz-Calvo in 2018 where she practices immigration and nationality law with a focus on employment-based and family-based cases. Ms. Abarca Compton began her career providing counsel in the areas of social security, public benefits, health insurance, and housing.  She has also volunteered at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, where she worked on the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) cases. As a law student, Ms. Abarca Compton interned for the Circuit Court of Cook County, the Chicago Transit Authority and The American Bar Association Hispanic Commission. During law school, she studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Chiapas, Mexico. Ms. Abarca Compton is the daughter of Mexican and Cuban immigrants.
