Attorney Nell Barker Speaks on H-1B Visas
Last week Nell Barker, Senior Associate Attorney at Kempster, Keller & Lenz-Calvo, Ltd. spoke to the Chicago Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association on H-1B visas and the difficulties facing changes in employee work locations. When employees are on H-1B visas a change in work location could require a filing a new Labor Condition Application with the U.S. Department of Labor or even filing an amended H-1B petition with United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS). Ms. Barker explained current law and USCIS policy dictating which filings would be necessary in which situations.
