Caty Medrano joined Kempster, Corcoran, Quiceno & Lenz-Calvo, Ltd. in 2026 and focuses her practice primarily on employment-based immigration matters.
Before pursuing a legal career, Ms. Medrano worked as a programmer at Texas Tech University, where she applied her Computer Science background to develop administrative tools for the School of Medicine’s admissions department.
Ms. Medrano earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, she volunteered with asylum clinics hosted by Chicago-Kent and the Children’s Legal Center, assisting individuals seeking humanitarian protection. She also gained valuable immigration law experience through pro bono work with the National Immigrant Justice Center prior to joining the firm. Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Ms. Medrano is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
